CDSS is one of the Knowledge Centres at the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) established in 2019. It is comprised of Design Incubation, E-Commerce, Big Data Analytics, and Technology-Driven In-Store Experience. Our centre is  missioned to serve as a knowledge exchange hub for academics and retailers locally, regionally and internationally, to synergize latest developments, innovative ideas and best practices, with a vision to build business strategies and design solutions for future challenges.

The majority of the CDSS projects will be integrated into relevant HKDI curriculum, where students could work in teams to develop high quality, practical design solutions cater to specific industry needs and requirements. It serves as a business training platform for professional practice and networking, nurturing creative ideas and offering student supports in terms of facilities and mentorship in realizing their entrepreneurial ambitions, thus assure work readiness and employability.
